With cost of living rising as we approach key shopping periods; Black Friday and Christmas, LoopMe is monitoring consumer sentiment and purchase intent in our UK pulse report. By using our proprietary research platform, LoopMe surveyed 2,878 consumers across the UK from 3 August 2022 to 16 August 2022.
LoopMe then surveyed a further 2,213 consumers across the UK from 16 September to 21 September 2022.
We explored three key areas in our first survey: Prices rising and the impact on personal spend this year, purchase intent online versus in-store and when consumers expect to do most of their Christmas shopping this year, to understand consumer sentiment when it comes to retail purchases.
In our second survey we analysed whether consumers intend to make any purchases online or in-store on Black Friday/Boxing Day, what they plan to purchase and whether they intend to take advantage of buy now pay later schemes.
